PP Food Grade Small Rigid – Bale
Post-consumer PP bales, previously referred to as “Tubs & Lids”, as defined by KW Plastics, should contain post-consumer PP. We also anticipate and accept up to 20% LDPE within the bale.
PP Bulky Rigid Bale
A bulky rigids bale should contain injection grade PP, typically found to be wide mouthed containers and/or oversized items. Metal such as axels and bolts should be removed
PP Corrugated – Bale
Polypropylene #5 corrugated bales should include board made from extrusion sheet, including promotional signs, fruit trays and car shipping wrap, without staples.
PP Battery Chips
The battery case chips should be size reduced 3” to 5” pieces. For new suppliers and/or feedstock, a hand sample shall be provided prior to the purchase of a truckload. This sample will be tested (infrared identification, melt, ash percentage if any) and maintained to insure that it is representative of the material purchased.
PP Caps & Closures – Parts
PP caps and closures include snap, flip, and screw-on caps as well as tube and overcap closures.
PP – Regrind
Ground granules that form PP regrind are made from materials such as crates and plastic signs.
