Matt Brown

Corporate Director of Health and Safety

Matt Brown, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), earned an Environmental Science degree from Troy University. Every day, he puts his certification to good use as the Corporate Director of Health and Safety for the KW Companies, a position he’s held since 2022.

Previously he served in a wide array of roles at the Sanders and KW companies: Bulk Division Night Dispatcher at Wiley Sanders Truck Lines (2004 – 2010), Environmental Science Intern at Sanders Lead (2006 – 2007), Corporate Health and Safety Specialist for Sanders and KW Companies (2007 – 2018), and Health and Safety Manager for Sanders Lead Company (2018 – 2020). He is proud that the KW Family of Companies has had such a profound impact on not only the environment but the community as well.

Matt is a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP), and the Recycled Materials Association (ReMa). He is a two-time State Champion Head Varsity Boys State Basketball Coach at Pike Liberal Art School. He played college basketball at Shelton State Community College and Troy University. Named to the Troy Life Top 20 under 40, Matt is also a Leadership Pike participant.

He and wife Jennifer have three kids: twin daughters Mary Clark and Maggie James, and a son, Coggins. Like their dad, they love sports, which keep everyone busy. The family attends Troy First Methodist Church.
