Blow Molding
Molten polymer is fed through a hollow pipe into which air is blown, inflating it into a mold. Often used to make bottles and containers, blow molding is commonly performed with both HDPE and PP.
Extrusion
Plastic resin pellets are transported from a hopper into an extruder, where they’re melted and formed into a profile for piping, tubing, and especially for two-dimensional products such as films and sheeting.
Injection Molding
The resin is heated and forced into a die, often cast into a complex mold. The finished three-dimensional piece generally doesn’t require additional assembly. Cups, plates, bottlecaps and buckets are examples of injection-molded products.
